The all-new 2015 Acura TLX midsize sedan earned the top five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The 2015 TLX, which replaces the Acura TL and Acura TSX in the lineup, earned five stars in the front, side and rollover crashworthiness tests.

The rating applies to front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions of the TLX.

The 2015 TLX is on sale now at Acura dealerships.

Standard safety features include vehicle stability assist with traction control, antilock brakes, a rearview camera and seven airbags, including a driver's knee airbag. Optional safety equipment includes rear cross-traffic alert and a blind-spot information system.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named the TLX as a 2015 Top Safety Pick+.

Acura's 2015 TLX earned "good" ratings in Insurance Institute for Highway Safety crash tests and an "acceptable" rating in the small overlap front crash test. The test is designed to replicate what happens when the front corner of a vehicle collides with another vehicle or an object like a tree or utility pole.

Key competitors to the TLX include the BMW 5 Series, Infiniti Q50 and Lincoln MKZ.
